Run by the Aroraas, Srishti is a jewelry store in the heart of Bangalore that specialises in fine handcrafted pieces developed in styles from across India. They had recently undergone a rebrand with the aim of giving their logo a modern update, but afterwards felt that the style didn't best reflect the elegance of their collections, and the intricacy of their process.

The aim was to go back to the drawing board and find ways to evolve Srishti into a more contemporary brand while still retaining the aura of heritage and elegance that surrounds their collections.

The starting point was the original logo which they were still fond of, since it was felt that it best represented the Srishti brand, and was also well recognised and remembered. From this, we worked to create a better, cleaner version of it - a slight but significant visual difference from the original - and give it more personality backed by a conceptual branding system.

The word Srishti, meaning 'creation', has both a larger universal significance and a very practical context - in our case the creation of something beautiful. The symbol created to complement the logotype is a reflection of the intricate and exact detail that goes into the creation of every handcrafted piece at Srishti, and attempts a stab at modernity even within an ornate form.
